Miami is recognized worldwide as the "Gateway to the Americas"; students enrolled in the Chapman School's programs are completely immersed in this world-class trade and commerce hub. The Chapman School has made significant investments over the past years in the fields of information technology, international business and entrepreneurship, helping it to gain national recognition in those strategic areas. BusinessWeek has consistently ranked the Chapman Graduate School as the leading business school in South Florida.

According to U.S. News & World Report's America's Best Graduate Schools (2006) the Chapman School is ranked among the top 20 of international specializations. Courses in the Internaional MBA (full-time) program are taught by faculty who are experts in their field and bring a global business perspective to the classroom. The learning experience is further enriched by the fact that 45 percent of the student body is international. The study abroad and internship opportunities provide students with practical international business experience. The curriculum includes a foreign language component, where students choose between Chinese (Mandarin), Spanish, Advanced Business English or Portuguese. Students electing the China Track participate in a semester-long study abroad and take Chinese language courses both during their year at the Chapman Graduate School and for one month in China
